Outfit: indigo puff-sleeved juicy sweat suit and monkey slippers
Mood: over-studied
Happy Thursday everyone!!! My midterms start on Monday, joy of joys. I literally have been studying non stop. I know I always title my posts with a book-quote, but this Robert Frost quote was too good to pass up. I agree with it completely. School is wayyyy to much about memorization and barely concerns knowledge. ANYWAY, I have, like, 10 minutes before my studying break is over, so I thought I'd share with you my....
GLAM GIRL'S GUIDE TO GETTING THROUGH MIDTERMS WITHOUT GOING INSANE (a supply list)
*CONCEALER! Late-night, early morning studying gives you under-eye circles and bags. Plus, worrying makes you break out. To save mirrors from breaking, concealer is absolutely nessecary. Try Fit Me by Maybelline. It's ah-mazing
*Juicy sweats: comfortable enough to wear while you lie on the couch for hours on end studying, but still cute.
*A good hairspray: You studied till midnight, crashed, and overslept. Your hair literally looks like the bride of Frankenstein. Never fear, hairspray is here! Just spray a bit of hair spray onto a boar bristle brush, brush your hair, and go. It's a bit too simple for the rest of the year, but around testing, you have to cut a girl some slack!
*Color-coded notes. I personally love to make study guides, and I always coordinate the font color with my textbook color for the subject. Bright colors keep me alert while studying (:
*Classical music...sort of: It's actually proven that any music that you absolutely love is just as mentally stimulating and calming as classical music. SO download song...after song...after song.
*Sleepy-time tea: it's relaxing, seriously helps with falling asleep, and tastes great
*Gum: chewing gum during tests (undetected, since it's not allowed) calms me down...not sure why
*DIET COKE!!! I have literally been up till 2AM studying at least twice...this week (I get up at 6:30). Diet coke is seriously the only thing that got me through it! All the caffine, none of the calories!
*An array of comfy, cute sweaters to wear during the actual test. Comfy=relaxing and cute=actually wanting to be seen. My personal favorite is a MJ lavender cashmere sweater. Pair with uggs, and BOOM you have a midterm outfit!!!!
*A way to calm down. I picture my ah-dorable kitty all curled up and sleeping...works everytime.
I have to go memorize 75 vocabulary words...good luck with your tests!! Wish me luck on mine!!!
Ciao for now,
Thalia
I wish you amazing luck on your midterms. You are amazingly smart so i think that you will be able to handle that (: I never knew about that classical music thing. That should definetely help me through these vigirous midterms. I love the layout of your blog by the way. I'm more of a sprite person (willing to gain the fat :) Why must they create such complicated words. Good luck!
